ABOUT
COACH TK
T.K. Ehlebracht's coaching dominance is evidenced by a remarkable track record of success. In just five years as a high school varsity football coach in Illinois, he has developed 10 All-Conference, 4 All-State, and 2 All-American wide receivers. During this period, his receivers collectively gained nearly 18,000 yards, with an impressive 32 players exceeding 300 yards in a single season. This website will provide access to the innovative drills designed by TK and their practical application in game situations, showcasing the key to his athletes' success, including two 8A State Championship Teams. In both championship seasons, TK's receivers totaled almost 4,000 receiving yards each year, with seven different players on each team amassing at least 300 yards in receptions.
PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL EXPERIENCE
1981
1982
After financing his own travel and expenses to Atlanta, GA for a Free Agent try-out, TK was graded as the #2 receiver out of 400 that attended the event. He did not receive a call from any NFL or Canadian Teams so he decided to give his skills one more shot in a try-out for a World Football Team called the Chicago Fire at Soldier Field. He was signed by the Fire when two days later he was invited to attend the Chicago Bear's Mini Camp in Lake Forest. With the skills that he is now sharing on this website, TK did so well at the Bear's Mini Camp was signed to a two-year contract.
TK broke his leg the second week of camp and was placed on Injured Reserve. After six weeks of recovery, TK started practicing everyday against the Bear's first team defense. He was even given a special jersey that identified him as the next opponent's #1 receiver. He participated in practice for the entire 1981 season and he received his entire contract against NFL League rules prohibiting Injured Reserve players practicing without placing them on the active roster.
TK received a letter from General Manager, Jim Finks, thanking for his contributions in practice during the 1981 season and expressed his excitement at TK's improvement and felt he had a good opportunity to make the team in 1982. The Bears fired Neil Armstrong and hired Mike Ditka as their new Head Coach for the 1982 season. TK was doing great in training camp. He had his inaugural debut in the NFL in the first pre-season game in San Diego against the Chargers. In the game, TK had 2 receptions for 33 yards, including a diving catch of Jim McMahon's first professional completion. TK made it to the final cut.
After a lengthy discussion, Coach Ditka was undecided about his decision for TK's spot on the active roster. A couple days later, TK was released.
1983
TK's rights were picked up by the Chicago Blitz in the newly formed league, the USFL, coached by George Allen. He was released at the end of training camp.
